Buy Damascene Roses (in stock | Colours: cream, multicolour, pink, red, white, yellow)

The damask rose or Rosa damascena has its origin in Asia Minor and is mentioned in numerous fairy tales from 1001 Nights. Its fragrance is still associated with the Orient and Damascene roses are still used to make rose oil. They were probably brought to Europe during the Crusades and are the most intensely scented rose varieties.

A distinction is made between the summer-flowering damask roses and varieties which flower twice a year (summer and autumn) and beguile the garden with their intense fragrance. Have you ever smelled a damask rose? You should not miss this. A Rose de Resht or the Trigintipetala, which was already mentioned in 1689 as a Bulgarian oil rose, exude an unforgettable scent.
